Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants

In large animals, including humans, sexual organs can be easily identified. Even from the pre-adult stage, humans can understand the purpose and significance of the sexual organs present in their bodies. However, in the case of plants, many people often feel hesitant when asked about their sexual organs. For science students, this question may be easier to answer. But it may be new information for those who do not know about it. So, without any further suspense, let us explore and understand some interesting facts about the sexual reproductive structures of plants.

In one sentence we can say Flower is the Sexual organ of plant. Mainly plants those bears flowers, flower is the sexual organ. In flower they have reproductive organs like androecium and gynoecium. The androecium is the male and gynoecium is the female reproductive organs of a flower. The androecium bears male reproductive organs called stamens. The stamens bears anther, the anther bears the male spores called pollen garins. The gynoecium is the female reproductive organs. It is made of carpes. There may be one carpel or many carpels. Each carpel contains one ovary. They ovary bears the female spores called ouvles. Ovule bears one egg cell and some associated cells.
